Hello, I'm Pigeonduckthing, aka Rowyn Flowerdew, welcome to my website. I'm a Scottish hobby artist and lover of art, books, comics and history. This is my homepage where you can access my historical illustration gallery or my old webcomic. The gallery is a collection of illustrations rooted in my amateur research in history, archaeology, and anthropology. The pieces here explore culture, ritual, dress, reconstructed ethnic features, great historical figures and warfare of the past, through ink, pencil, and digital software. I try to ensure that every item, feature and piece of clothing I depict is inspired by real archaeological artifacts or near contemporary depictions from the relevant historical period. The webcomic is an unfinished incarnation of a very personal science fiction story I've worked on for my entire life. I use mainly GIMP and free open-source tools for my art.
